When the inquiry from Okada Manila arrived in our inbox during the pandemic, just as lockdowns were beginning to ease, we were absolutely ecstatic. The opportunity to document one of the most iconic integrated resorts in the country was a massive milestone for us, but operating during such unprecedented times presented unique logistical hurdles. We knew that capturing the sheer magnitude of the property required relentless dedication. We meticulously mapped out our flight plans, committing to early call times to catch the crisp morning break and waiting out long days to seize the perfect, fleeting golden hour light.
The creative brief from the client was highly specific: they wanted the monumental glass facades to radiate a brilliant, luxurious gold to reflect the premium standard of the hotel. Achieving this signature golden aesthetic required a seamless blend of on-site hustle and technical expertise. After capturing the raw beauty of the property during those prime lighting windows, we poured hours of meticulous work into post-production. Through precise color grading and editing, we enhanced the natural reflections to ensure the sprawling glass curves glowed as an opulent, golden masterpiece that perfectly aligned with Okada’s grand brand identity.
